My appreciations of joints like Pat’s Pub run deep. This is it! I knew it when I saw the “Hamm’s Beer” sign. Juke Box and all; this is a Classic. Pat Kaser has run this establishment for 25 years. She’s been located at 1315 Swift in North Kansas City for the last 14. After missing the Thursday spaghetti special, I savored a great burger and fries while drinking my water from a three-cup, wide-mouth Mason Jar…this added to the pub’s character. I enjoyed lunch while conversing with my very pleasant server (with Pat’s for 11 years) while she beat herself at a game of pool.

Daily specials include shrimp on Fridays; Hot roast beef, Mexican or spaghetti on Thursdays; Homemade soup and salad on Wednesday; Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes on Tuesdays. I was drawn here by a business buddy who makes the Monday’s special of ham & beans served with corned bread a regular in his diet. Of course my server knew him. As she said, Pat’s is a “hometown” place. She usually knows everyone and what they will be ordering……Check it out.
